Who we are
Sylori is a managed IT support provider based in London, UK. When this policy refers to "we", "us", or "Sylori", it means the business operating at sylori.co.uk.
For the purposes of UK GDPR, Sylori is the data controller for the personal information collected through this website.
What data we collect and why
We only collect personal data when you choose to contact us through the form on this website. That information is:
- Your name
- Your business name
- Your email address
- What you're looking for (selected from a list)
- Any additional information you choose to share in the message field
We collect this information solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not use it for any other purpose, and we do not send marketing emails.
Our lawful basis
We process your data on the basis of legitimate interests — specifically, the mutual interest in responding to a business enquiry you have initiated. We have assessed that this does not override your rights or interests.
How we handle your data
Form submissions are processed by Netlify (our website host), who act as a data processor on our behalf. Netlify stores submissions securely and we access them to respond to you. You can read Netlify's privacy policy at netlify.com/privacy.
Beyond Netlify, your data is not shared with, sold to, or passed on to any third party.
How long we keep your data
We retain enquiry data for as long as is reasonably necessary to manage the enquiry and any subsequent business relationship. If nothing comes of an enquiry, we delete it within 12 months. If you become a client, we retain relevant contact information for the duration of the contract and for up to 6 years afterwards in line with standard business record-keeping requirements.
Cookies and tracking
With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept the banner on your first visit. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing cookies for this site. See Google's privacy policy for details on how they handle this data.
Netlify may set a short-lived technical cookie as part of processing a form submission. This is strictly necessary and does not track you.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you
- Request a copy of that data
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data
- Object to our processing of your data
To exercise any of these rights, email us and we will respond within one month.
Data requests: amin@sylori.co.uk
Complaints
If you believe we have handled your data incorrectly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk. We would, however, always appreciate the chance to address your concern directly first.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. We recommend checking back occasionally if you have an ongoing relationship with us.
